Paul's Email Trouble with Peter

Hello my name is Paul. I am blogging about a problem with me and my friend. First I will tell you that in our school we get PDAs to use. My friend, Peter, isn't the smartest guy in town, and I sometimes email him the answers to tests and things, but I'm not sure I want to give him the answers to the next test, and I really feel guilty. I really want to help one of my best friends, but I don't want to get caught, because if I get caught, I will probably flunk the class and not be able to go on the big 6th Grade field trip to Catalina Island! I think Peter is playing a little too much video games and isn't studying, and I studied really hard for this test. I don't think it's fair that he gets to do anything he wants and still get good grades. Keep in mind that I have known Peter for a long time and we have been great friends, and I want to keep it that way! What do I do? Do you think I should continue to give him answers and still be his friend while taking the risk of flunking and not being able to go to Catalina Island? Should I not give him the answers, pass, be able to go on the Catalina trip, but lose one of my best friends forever? WHAT DO I DO????? help me!

  1. Im sorry about your friend troubles. But I think the best thing to do is to is maybe "forget" your PDA at home that way there is no way to give Peter the answers. Also if you are willing to, you could purposely flunk the test, that way you both would get a bad grade and he wouldn't want to cheat off you ever again.

  2. Thank you Mr.Fredrick Smith I think that is a great idea but I will get in a ton of trouble if I "forget" my PDA at home because if I lose it that thing is mabye $500 and I want strait A's and not 4 A's and a C

  3. Hey Paul..... I know what you feel like and I know you don't want to loose your friend and you want to go to Catalina but maybe you should talk to Peter. I would say to Peter something like this...you are a good friend of mine but I can't keep giving you answers to tests....I really want to go to Catalina and if I get caught I won't be able to go. Tell him to study a little more and maybe you'll help him study for tests but u still want to be good friend with him. I hope you figure out what to do.

  4. Another option is tell your friend,Peter, that you wanna be good friends with him still, but its not fair that he is cheating off you. Also offer that you would be willing to help him study, be declare you will not take part in cheating anymore.

  5. yeah I think think that I should just have him study with me instead of giving the answers to him. That is a very good idea, Summer. I appreciate it!

  7. I think you should tell him that you gave him tooo many answers and you think he should try studying and working hard because you do all the work. Or when he askes for the answers don't reply. If you get caught you both go down.... HARD and you don't want that to happen. hope it helped

  9. I think you should not help him. What ever you do don`t give him the answers . Make him do it him self . If you give him the answers he`ll always depend on you.

  10. Hey, I know you don't want to lose your trip to Catalina, so talk to the principal and tell him that PDA's can cause trouble like you had. Don't tell him it was you, just tell him about why PDA"s are not the best thing for your school. Break your PDA if you have to. This way you can go to Catalina and still be friends with Peter. I don't think that Peter should be playing video games while you do his work for him. What if both of you are in different classes and don't have the same homework? Peter might get F's and you don't want him getting bad grades. Another suggestion is to tell the principal to install something into the PDA's so that he could see what everyone is sending each other.

  11. Paul,
You need to talk to your friend about this. Tell him you don`t want to give him awnsers anymore. Also tell him that you want to go to Catilina Island and don`t want to get in trouble.Tell him nicely and he will understand if he`s a true friend. You can tell him too that if he wants to get good grades, he can study on his own and earn them on his own.
Hope this helped!! Good luck!! :)

  12. If he is really your friend he will under stand why you don't want to give him the answers. You have to tell him that what you two are doing is very wrong. Tell him that you don't want to put your chances of going on the field trip at risk. Ask him to step in your shoes and ask him what he would honestly do. If he chooses not to be your friend anymore then thats his loss.
